THE CanSIA SOLAR CANADA 2011----Updated December 15th 2011

 

The Annual Conference and Exposition organized by the Canadian Solar Industries Association held on 5th - 6th December 2011 at the Toronto Convention Centre was a success with the largest number of exhibitors (over 200) and over 5000 people attending. The conference was opened by the Honourable Joe Oliver MP, Minister of Natural Resources, Canada. The conference also had many interesting speakers and panelists over the two days to cover areas such as the global outlook for solar PV to focussing on Canada and Ontario markets, trends, technology, financing, economics, politics and people.

Exhibitors ranged from solar PV manufactures, to balance of system suppliers (connectors to panel racks and stands, electronics etc.), systems integrators, financiers, employment agencies, community solar energy promoters etc..

Supan Group shared the booth with Spire - world's leading suppliers of manufacturing equipment and partner SP-One of USA.

 

CanSIA NEWS----Updated December 15th 2011

 

On December 14, 2011 CanSIA submitted its FIT Program Review recommendation document "Maximizing the Benefits of Early Success: Recommendations for the Sustainability of Ontario's Solar Energy Sector" to the Ontario Government FIT Program Review Team.

This document presents recommendations prepared in consultation with over 500 of our member companies, with operations in the province of Ontario, to the Government of Ontario for their review of the microFIT and FIT programs.

LALITH GUNARATNE JOINS SUPAN AS DIRECTOR OF CORPORATE DEVELOPMENT------------Updated December 2nd 2011

THE RIVERDALE PROJECT STATUS UPDATE --- COMPLETED----Updated May 27th 2011

 

Supan Solar Solutions was incorporated on August 5th, 2010 to service the Ontario FIT program and the first contract was signed for the Riverdale Project outside Toronto on August 31st, 2010. The project was constructed through the winter and completed and commissioned by grid connecting it on 27th May 2011.
